2020 Tata Tiago Facelift Ready For Launch
Tata Motors is all set to launch the much-awaited Altroz premium hatchback in the country on January 22, 2020. The company is also readying the updated versions of the Nexon, Tiago and the Tigor. The entry-level Tata Tiago is all set to receive a major upgrade, as the updated model has been caught testing without any covers for the first time. This also suggests that the hatchback could be launched in the next couple of months.
The pictures reveal that the 2020 Tata Tiago will receive significant changes in terms of styling. It gets slimmer headlamps and sleeker grille with Tata’s signature ‘Humanity Line’ in chrome. The new model will be compliant with the upcoming pedestrian safety norms. The hatchback now features a raised bonnet, which gives front a sharper look. It gets new front bumper that accommodates larger air-dam and re-styled fog lamp housings with horizontal slats.
The side profile of the Tata Tiago facelift remains largely identical to the outgoing model, featuring the same 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. The hatchback retains the dual-tone paint scheme, featuring blacked-out roof and contrast coloured ORVMs. The rear is also expected to receive revised bumper and updated tail-lamp inserts.
Inside the cabin, the Tata Tiago facelift is likely to get new seat upholstery. The hatchback will be fitted with digital instrument console, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Automatic AC, drive modes, etc. Dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, seat belt reminder, and speed alert will come as standard safety features.
The 2020 Tata Tiago will receive the BSVI compliant 1.2-litre petrol engine that is capable of producing 85bhp and 113Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and an AMT automatic. Tata Motors is also expected to introduce the CNG version of the hatchback on a later stage.
