2020 Tata Nexon and Altroz To Get An Electric Sunroof
Tata Motors is all set to launch the all-new Altroz premium hatchback and the Nexon EV electric SUV in January 2020. While the former will see a release on 22nd January, the launch date of latter one is yet to be announced. The home-grown carmaker will also bring in the 2020 Tata Nexon facelift in coming months.
We have reported earlier that the 2020 Tata Nexon facelift will share its design bits and features with the Nexon EV. Similar to the electric SUV, the updated version of the subcompact SUV might get an electric sunroof. The Tata Altroz might also receive the same sunroof unit at a later stage.
While official details are yet to be revealed, Tata Motors might introduce sunroof with the Tata Altroz DCT (dual clutch transmission) automatic variant. The premium hatchback will also receive a more powerful 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbocharged (VGT) petrol engine that will be good enough for 115bhp.
Initially, the Tata Altroz will be offered in five trims (XE, XM, XT, XZ and XZ+) and two engine options – a 86bhp, 1.2L petrol and 90bhp, 1.5L diesel. A 5-speed manual gearbox will come as standard. It’s estimated to be priced from Rs 5.5 lakh to Rs 8.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
