2020 Skoda Superb Facelift Showcased At Auto Expo
Czech automaker, Skoda has showcased the 2020 Superb facelift at the 2020 Auto Expo. The company has also previewed the Vision IN SUV, Karoq SUV and the Octavia RS 245 at the auto show. The new Superb is scheduled to be launched in the Indian market in May 2020.
The 2020 Skoda Superb facelift comes with cosmetic design changes, new exterior and interior features along with mechanical upgrades. It comes with full-LED Matrix headlamps and new driver assistance features including predective cruise control. The sedan’s driver assistance features include lane assist, park assist, blind spot detection, side assist, front assist with predictive pedestrian protection, etc.
In terms of styling changes, the 2020 Skoda Superb facelift gets new grille, chrome treatment between the full rear LED lights, new front bumper and the new ‘SKODA’ block lettering. The model also gets newly styled alloy wheels.
With redesigned front bumper, the length of the Superb facelift has been increased by 8mm to 4,869mm. The sedan has a wheelbase of 2,841mm, while width and height stands at 1,864mm and 1,469mm respectively. It comes with a boot space of 625-litres, which can be further extended to 1,760-litres by folding the rear seats.
New chrome accents can be seen on the instrument console and door trims. It also gets new seat covers, and new decorative trims for the centre console and dashboard. The sedan has coloured contrasting stitching on the leather and Alcantara seats. Keyless vehicle entry system is available as standard.
There is an optional virtual cockpit and a 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with gesture and voice control. The 2020 Skoda Superb facelift is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine paired to a 7-speed, dual-clutch automatic gearbox, sending the power to the front wheels.
