The India-bound 2020 Skoda Rapid will be different from the leaked images. The China-spec Rapid sedan is built on the Volkswagen MQB platform; however, the India-spec model will be based on the locally developed MQB AO IN platform. This platform is developed by Skoda and will be used to develop a wide range of cars including VW T-Cross, Skoda Kamiq, new Polo and the next Vento.

It comes with angular grille, newly designed headlamp set-up and all-LED headlight unit with LED daytime running lights. Side profile of the new Rapid comes with newly styled alloy wheels. The top-spec model gets dual-tone machined alloys. The greenhouse is larger, offering more space at the rear. Also See – All-new Volswagen Polo is coming to India
