Royal Enfield has introduced the Euro 5 RE Himalayan in the European market. In Germany, the prices of the updated model start from EUR 4,619 (which is around Rs 3.86 lakh).

In Indian market, the adventure bike has been made available at starting price of Rs 1.86 lakh (ex-showroom). The Euro 5 Royal Enfield Himalayan comes with a more eco-friendly engine, 3 new colour schemes and a few new features.

The bike’s updated model now complies with the Euro 5 emission standards. It uses the same 411cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled SOHC engine with fuel injection technology. The motor is paired to a 5-speed gearbox and promises a peak power of 24.3bhp at 6,500rpm and 32Nm of torque between 4,000rpm – 4,500rpm. As mentioned above, the Euro 5 Royal Enfield Himalayan receives three new colours – Lake Blue, Rock Red and Gravel Grey along with the previously available Snow White, Granite Black and Sleet Grey shades. The bike’s instrument cluster has white background lighting. It also comes with a hazard light function.

The adventure bike continues to come with 41mm telescopic forks at the front with 200mm of travel and a rear monoshock with 180mm of travel at the rear. The 2020 RE Himalayan Euro5 continues to ride on the 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel with dual-purpose tyres.
