Renault India has finally introduced the Duster with turbo petrol engine in the country. The 2020 Renault Duster turbo petrol comes in three trims – RXE, RXS and RXZ – priced from Rs 10.49 lakh to Rs 13.59 lakh. The RXS automatic variant has been priced at Rs 12.99 lakh and the RXZ automatic is available at Rs 13.59 lakh. The Duster 1.5L petrol manual comes in the price range of Rs 8.59 lakh – Rs 9.99 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, India. This makes it around Rs 5 lakh more affordable than the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos turbo petrol that cost between Rs 16.17 lakh – Rs 17.21 lakh and Rs 15.54 lakh – Rs 17.29 lakh respectively.
Previewed at this year’s Auto Expo, the 2020 Renault Duster turbo petrol has been packed with a 1.3L engine benefited with dual variable valve timing and direct injection technology. The motor delivers a claimed power of 153bhp and 254Nm of torque at 1600rpm. The same powertrain does duty in the BS6 Nissan Kicks compact SUV. The new turbo petrol model been offered with a 6-speed manual and a CVT X-Tronic automatic gearbox option. The carmaker claims that the Duster turbo petrol offers a fuel efficiency of 16.5kmpl with manual gearbox and 16.42kmpl with CVT automatic transmission.
The new Renault Duster turbo petrol looks sportier than the 1.5L petrol model, thanks to its subtle cosmetic changes. The SUV’s new, more powerful model has crimson red accents on the front grille, fog lamps and roof rails. The SUV comes fitted with the newly-designed R17 Forza diamond cut alloy wheels. Design bits such as projector headlamps with LED DRLs, dual tone body colour front bumper and muscular skid plates further enhance its sporty looks.
Minimal changes have also been made inside the cabin. The compact SUV now comes with a midnight black interior theme along with a remote pre-cooling function. The list of features includes a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, voice recognition and EcoGuide, a fully automatic climate control, Smart Start/Stop function, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, speed alert, rear parking sensors, electronic stability program, seat belt reminder, reverse parking camera, hill-start assist and more.
