2020 Mercedes- AMG C 63 Coupe Specs

The German carmaker has rolled out the 2020 Mercedes-AMG GT-R and Mercedes AMG C 63 Coupe in the Indian market. Both models are imported as Completely Built Units (CBUs). While the performance-oriented GT-R Coupe has been priced at Rs 2.48 crore, the AMG C 63 Coupe comes with a price tag of Rs 1.33 crore. All prices are ex-showroom, India (except Kerala).

Talking about the 2020 Mercedes-AMG GT R, the model features a revised front bumper with a set of canards and 14 slat vertical apron improving its aerodynamics. What further mark distinction are the new AMG performance LED headlamps, AMG A-Type panamericana grille, AMG performance exhaust system, wider rear bumper with air curtains and tweaked carbon fibre wing at the rear.

Under the hood, the 2020 Mercedes-AMG GT R employs the same 4.0L, bi-turbo V8 engine that’s good enough for 577bhp and 700Nm. Transmission duties are done by an AMG Speedshift 7-speed automatic gearbox. Compared to the previous model, the new one is lighter (13.9kg) that makes it quicker. It can do 0 to 100kmph in 3.6 seconds, while maintaining a top speed of 318kmph.

Mercedes AMG C 63 Coupe, the flagship model in the C-Class lineup, uses a BS6-complaint 4.0L bi-turbo V8 engine hooked an AMG Speedshift 9 G-Tronic gearbox. It’s the same powertrain that does duty in the new MG GT-R. Though, the AMG C 63 Coupe promises a maximum power of 576bhp and a peak torque of 700Nm. It’s claimed to achieve 0 to 100kmph in 4 seconds and offer a top speed of 250kmph. The Coupe comes with 6 driving modes – Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Race, and Individual.

Upfront, the AMG C 63 Coupe features a new Panamericana grille from the AMG GT family, updated bumper with huge air intakes, new bug-eyed headlamps with LED DRLs and a pronounced bonnet. Other design bits include 18-inch alloy wheels, quad trapezoidal-shaped exhaust and aggressive diffuser. Interior of the new Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe features sporty black and red leather race-style bucket seats, carbon fibre finished central console, a flat-bottom AMG steering wheel, a digital instrument and infotainment displays.
