2020 Maruti Ignis Facelift To Launch On 7th February

Maruti Suzuki India has confirmed that it will launch the new Ignis facelift on 7th February at the Auto Expo 2020. The updated version of the compact car will be made available in four trims – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha – powered by the BS6-compliant 1.2L K12M petrol engine. No changes will be made to its power and torque figures. Similar to its BS4 version, the 2020 Maruti Ignis facelift will offer power worth 83PS and 113Nm of torque.

  • The updated model will be slightly pricier than the existing one.

The facelifted version will continue to come with a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox option. In terms of design and styling, the 2020 Maruti Ignis facelift will look slightly refreshing. Major design change will come in the form of new grille inspired by the S-Presso mini SUV. It will also get revised front bumper along with a faux skid plate and vertically mounted fog lamps.

2020 Maruti Ignis Details

At the back, the updated Ignis will feature newly-designed LED taillamps and a skid plate. It will come in a choice of 6 single tone and 3 dual-tone colour options. Interior details of the 2020 Maruti Ignis facelift are yet to be revealed. Though, it’s reported to come with a new SmartPlay Studio infotainment system, new seat upholstery and a new interior theme.

At the Auto Expo 2020, the all-new Maruti Suzuki Futuro-e Coupe-SUV concept will make its global debut on 5th February. It’s a design study that previews the brand’s design approach for future utility vehicles. The Indo-Japanese carmaker will announce prices of the 2020 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza facelift on 6th February at the biennial event.

The Indo-Japanese carmaker will also showcase the Swift Hybrid along with its entire product range including Celerio, S-Presso, WagonR, Ertiga, Swift, Dzire, S-Cross, Baleno, Ciaz S and XL6. Reports suggest that the Maruti S-Presso CNG variant will also be launched at the Auto Expo 2020.
