2020 Kia Seltos Goes On Sale – 10 New Features
Kia Motors India has introduced the Seltos SUV with 10 new safety and connectivity features. The 2020 Kia Seltos model lineup is available in a total of 16 variants and 3 engine options – 1.5L Smartstream petrol, 1.4L GDI Smartstream petrol and 1.5L CRDi VGT diesel. Prices of the petrol models start from Rs 9.89 lakh and go up to Rs 16.39 lakh. The diesel variants, on the other hand, come in the price range of Rs 10.34 lakh – Rs 17.34 lakh. Now, all variants of the Kia Seltos are available with emergency stop signal (ESS) and front and rear USB charging ports. The smart-key remote engine start has been made standard on all automatic variants. In HTX, HTX+, GTX and GTX+ variants, the AI voice command system gets new voice commands such as ‘Hello Kia” wake up command, “Cricket score search” and “Indian holiday info”. The UVO connected car system also comes with smart watch app connectivity and control air purifier.
Inside, the 2020 Kia Seltos gets full automatic temperature control (FATC) deco panel silver garnish. Though, it’s reserved for the HTX, HTX+, GTX and GTX+ trims. The HTX+ and GTX+ variants are available with new dual-tone sunroof option. The HTK+ trim has been equipped with dual tip muffler, printed dashboard garnish and a leatherette gear knob. The GTX+ trim comes with all-black interior them with red stitching and metal garish on the AC controls. The carmaker also offered a new dual-tone Orange/White roof colour scheme on the HTX+ and GTX+ trims.
As mentioned above, the 2020 Kia Seltos continues to come with the three BS6-compliant engines – two petrol and one diesel. The 1.5L petrol motor delivers a peak power of 115bhp and 144Nm of torque. It can be had either with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic transmission. The 1.4L direct-injection turbo-petrol unit makes 140bhp and 242Nm of peak torque. The turbo-petrol engine comes with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox option. The 1.5L diesel engine produces a maximum power of 115bhp against 250Nm of torque. The oil burner is available with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. The SUV offers three drive modes (Normal, Eco and Sport) and three terrain modes (Wet, Mud and Sand).
