The Kia Picanto is based on the same platform that underpins the Hyundai i10 sold abroad. It is available with 3 engine options – a 67bhp, 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol, a 99bhp, 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol and a 83bhp, 1.25-litre, 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol. Kia had showcased the Picanto hatchback at the 2018 Auto Expo; however, the vehicle won’t be launched in our market. Kia is currently focusing on expanding its SUV and MPV line-up in India.
