2020 Hyundai Verna facelift has been officially launched in the country. The mid-size sedan has been made available in a total of 11 variants and three engine options – 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.0L turbocharged petrol and 1.5L diesel. The 1.5L oil burner dishes out a peak power of 115bhp against 250Nm. The model lineup comes with 4 gearbox options – a 6-speed manual (1.5L petrol and diesel), a 6-speed torque convertor automatic (diesel only), a CVT automatic (1.5L petrol only), a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (turbo-petrol only).
Prices of the 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift start from Rs 9.30 lakh and go all the way up to Rs 15.09 lakh. The 1.5L petrol variants have been priced between Rs 9.30 lakh – Rs 13.84 lakh and the turbo-petrol model can be had at Rs 13.99 lakh. The diesel Verna is available in the price range of Rs 10.65 lakh – Rs 15.09 lakh. One must note that these are introductory ex-showroom, Delhi prices. The new Verna facelift is the first fully connected mid-size sedan in the country. It comes with Hyundai’s BlueLink connectivity suite that offers 45 features including the new ‘Hello Blue Link’ wake-up feature. The connected features are spread across different categories – safety, security, vehicle relationship management, remote access, alert services, location-based services and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The list of features also includes a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, Arkamys audio system, a full digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, wireless mobile phone charging and a sunroof. All variants of the 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift offer ABS (anti-lock braking system), rear parking sensors, dual airbags and front seat belt reminders as standard safety fitments. The front parking sensors are reserved from the turbo-petrol variant. Some of its key changes include newly-designed headlamps, a larger front grille, new alloy wheels, revised taillamps and rear bumper, dashboard with faux wood trim, new upholstery colour scheme and new AC vents.
