2020 Hyundai Verna, ix25 (Hyundai Creta) Launched In China
The 2020 Hyundai Verna and 2002 Hyundai ix25 (Hyundai Creta) have been launched in the Chinese market. While the all-new model of the mid-size sedan has been priced from CNY 72,800 (Rs 7.30 lakh) to CNY 87,800 (Rs 8.81 lakh), prices of the compact SUV range between CNY 1,05,800 (Rs 10.62 lakh) and CNY 1,36,800 (Rs 13.73 lakh).
Design and styling of the new-generation Hyundai ix25 (2020 Hyundai Creta) seems inspired by the Hyundai Palisade. The SUV has witnessed comprehensive cosmetic changes and feature upgrades. In terms of proportions, the 2020 Hyundai Creta is 10mm longer and wider than the previous model measuring 4300mm in length and 1790mm in width. It sits 2-26mm lower and has 20mm longer wheelbase.
Engine setup of the 2020 Hyundai Creta includes a 1.6L petrol and a 1.5L petrol unit. The SUV’s all-new model retains the standard 6-speed manual gearbox, while the CVT unit has been replaced with a 7-sped dual-clutch automatic transmission. Some of its key features include LED headlamps, taillamps, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, a 10.4-inch portrait-style touchscreen infotainment system, 12.3-inch LCD instrument panel, a 360 degree camera, High Beam Assist (HBA), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), -Spot View Monitor (BVM), EPB with automatic hold function, Adaptive Smart Cruise Control (ASCC) and BlindDriver Attention Warning (DAW).

The updated version of the sedan comes with the 1.4L petrol engine that’s good enough for 99.66PS and 132.4Nm of torque. The model lineup has dropped the 1.6L petrol engine and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a CVT unit.
The 2020 Hyundai Verna measures 4,405mm in length, 1,720mm in width and 1,455mm in height, thus making it 25mm longer, 8mm narrower and 5mm lower than the previous model. Its wheelbase, however, remains unchanged (2600mm).
