2020 Hyundai Verna facelift Specs

The much-awaited 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift is all set to hit the showrooms in the next couple of weeks. The company has officially started taking pre-orders for the sedan. Interested buyers can book the new Hyundai Verna online or via Hyundai dealership by paying an initial amount of Rs 25,000.

Similar to the Venue and Elantra, the new Hyundai Verna facelift will receive the Blue Link connected car tech. Called the Advanced Blue Link Connectivity System, the new Verna’s system gets smartwatch integration and voice commands that can be used by saying “Hello Blue Link”. The new Verna facelift comes with a total of 45 connectivity features. In terms of styling changes, the new Verna gets bigger cascading grille, new LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs and indicators, new round fog lamps, new dual-tone diamond-cut alloys, new front and rear bumpers, and LED tail-lamps. The sedan also gets electrically adjustable sunroof.

The new Hyundai Verna facelift will be offered with 3 new BS6 compliant engines – a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel and a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol. The naturally aspirated petrol engine is capable of producing 115PS of power and 144Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic.

The turbocharged diesel engine churns out 115bhp of power and 250Nm of torque. This engine also gets a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox option. On the other hand, the turbocharged petrol engine is capable of producing 118bhp of power and 172Nm of torque. A six-speed manual gearbox will come as standard, while a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission will be offered with a turbocharged petrol engine.

2020 Hyundai Verna facelift Launch

The new Hyundai Verna facelift is likely to be launched in the end of this month. It will directly rival the likes of the upcoming new Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Volkswagen Vento and the Skoda Rapid.
