Unofficial bookings of the 2020 Hyundai Tucson facelift have been commenced at dealership level. Interested buyers can pre-book the updated SUV by paying a sum of Rs 25,000. Previewed at the 2020 Auto Expo, the new Tucson will hit showrooms in coming weeks. Though, the official launch date is yet to be announced by the carmaker.

The premium SUV from South Korean carmaker will be offered in three trims – GL 2WD (two-wheel-drive), GLS 2WD and GLS 4WD (four-wheel-drive). While the range-topping 4WD version will come with diesel engine only, the 2WD variants will be available with petrol and diesel motors.

Engine setup of the 2020 Hyundai Tucson facelift includes a 182bhp, 2.0L diesel and a 150bhp, 2.0L petrol unit. Transmissions on offer are an 8-speed automatic and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. All variants of the updated Tucson offer all-black interior with leather touch dashboard, panoramic electric sunroof, 10-way electrically adjustable driver seat, 8-way electrically adjustable co-driver seat, rear AC vent, wireless charging, BlueLink connectivity, auto defogger in front and rear, cooled glovebox and an 8-inch infotainment system with smartphone connectivity and voice recognition.

The pent LED projector headlamps, cornering lamps, electric parking brake and power tail gate are available on the GLS 2WD and 4WD variants. The dynamic stability control is reserved for the top-spec GLS 4WD trim. Safety features such as front parking sensors, rear fog lamps, rain sensing wipers, downhill break control, hill control assist and electric stability control are standard across the range.
