The new-generation Hyundai i20 premium hatchback is all set for its world debut that will happen next month at the Geneva Motor Show. In India, the hatchback’s all-new model will see a release in June, 2020. We have seen multiple camouflaged spy pictures of the 2020 Hyundai i20 revealing its exterior and interior details. The latest one shows the fully-digital instrument cluster with MID revealing its mileage figures.

The spotted prototype was the diesel model that will promise fuel economy of around 17kmpl. The 2020 Hyundai i20 diesel will features the Seltos’ 1.5L motor that’s detuned for generating power worth 100bhp against 200Nm of torque.

The petrol models will be offered with the 1.2L and 1.0L turbo units offering power worth 82bhp with 113Nm and 118bhp with 173Nm. Both manual (6-speed) and automatic (7-speed dual-clutch) gearboxes will be on offer.

The next-generation Hyundai i20 will also get a newly-designed steering wheel that seems inspired by Hyundai’s new breed global models. The hatchback might also receive the brand’s BlueLink connected car technology and a new, larger 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Major cosmetic change will come in the form of a sunroof. The 2020 Hyundai i20 will carry a revised front fascia featuring new halogen headlamps with angular design, a more pronounced hexagonal grille, newly-designed fog lamps and sleeker air intake.

The ORVMs will also be bigger than before. Save for the new alloy wheels, the side profile of the hatchback will be more or less similar to the current generation. There will also be new wing mirrors and LED brake lights.
