Hyundai Motor India has released the first official sketches of the new-generation Creta that’s scheduled to launch on 17th March, 2020. The SUV’s next-gen model made its India debut at the recently-concluded Delhi Auto Expo. The carmaker says that the 2020 Hyundai Creta “is based on Hyundai’s new design language of ‘SENSUOUS SPORTINESS’, harmonizing the four fundamental design elements of proportion, architecture, styling and technology.”
While the launch of the new-generation Creta is around a month away, its unofficial bookings have already been commenced at select dealerships in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. Visually, the 2020 Hyundai Creta appears sharper than the current generation.
First thing you will notice at the front end is Hyundai’s signature cascading grille enhancing its new aggressive looks. The SUV also features split headlamp design with LED DRLs along with an LED strip at the lower portion. The revised bumper with scuff plate and newly-designed fog lamps add more to its sportiness. Other key updates include more pronounced wheel arches with 17-inch diamond cut alloys, C-pillar with silver finish, slightly lower set number plate and new split LED taillamps connected via an appliqué. In terms of size, the 2020 Hyundai Creta is relatively bigger than the current generation. Its wheelbase has also been increased.
With the generation change, the Creta gets the electronic parking brake (EPB) for the first time. The steering wheel looks similar to the new Hyundai Sonata. It also gets dual-tone black and beige interior, newly-designed dashboard, AC vents and perforated seats with criss-cross design. The SUV might also get the Seltos’ like 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Read – All-New Hyundai i20 Details Revealed
