2020 Hyundai Creta Demand Continues To Rise

The second-generation Hyundai Creta went on sale on 16 March, 2020. Despite the lockdown (which was enforced just a few days after its launch) and ongoing pandemic, the compact SUV managed to perform well in terms of sales. The 2020 Hyundai Creta outnumbered all its rivals to became the top selling vehicle in its segment in the month of May and June. In fact, it dethroned the Maruti Suzuki models and secured to the top position in the list of best-selling cars in May, 2020.

The South Korean carmaker recently confirmed that the new-generation Creta has gathered over 40,000 bookings so far. In first 14 days of July, the company received over 5,000 bookings for the vehicle. Most of the buyers are opting diesel models and Hyundai BlueLink equipped variants. Attributes such as improved styling, premium interior and efficient powertrains are working in its favour.

2020 Hyundai Creta Price List

Prices of the 2020 Hyundai Creta start from Rs 9.99 lakh for the entry-level EX 1.5L petrol variant and go up to Rs 17.20 lakh for the top-end SX (O) 1.4L turbo-petrol variant. All prices are ex-showroom. The model lineup comes in five engine-gearbox combinations and five trims – E, EX, S, SX and SX (O). Engines and gearboxes are borrowed from the Kia Seltos. The new Creta can be had with three BS6-compliant engines including a 115hp, 1.5L, naturally-aspirated petrol, a 115bhp, 1.5L turbo diesel and a 1.4L turbo petrol. The 1.5L NA gasoline motor can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. While the turbo-diesel comes with 6-speed manual and torque converter automatic gearbox options, the turbo petrol motor is available with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox only. The new Hyundai Creta comes in a choice of 10 colour schemes. The turbo-petrol model gets three exclusive shades Orange with Black roof, White with Black roof and Deep Forest.
