Honda Cars India is ready to roll out three new models post lockdown in the country. The lineup includes the new-generation City sedan and the updated Jazz hatchback and WR-V compact SUV. In fact, the 2020 Honda WR-V BS6 has started arriving at the dealerships ahead of its official price announcement. Reports suggest the compact SUV’s updated model will be launched by the end of this month (May, 2020).
The latest pictures reveal that the new Honda WR-V features LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs and position lamps at the front end. The front grille has also been revised. The unit now has horizontal slates and a chrome insert.
The side profile looks largely similar to the existing model. Save for the C-shaped LED taillamps, the rear section remains unchanged. The updated model also gets an electric sunroof. Read – 2020 Honda Jazz To Come With Petrol Engine Only
Minimal changes have been made to its interior. The 2020 Honda WR-V has a piano black centre console fascia with integrated 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Features such as auto climate control, cruise control, keyless entry and go, reverse camera and electric retract wing mirrors will continue to be reserved for the top-end trim.
As mentioned above, the updated WRV will receive the BS6-compliant version of the existing 1.2L petrol and 1.5L diesel engines. The BS4 gasoline motor delivers a claimed power of 89bhp and 110Nm of torque and the BS4 oil burner offers 99bhp with 200Nm of torque. The power and torque outputs of the calibrated engines are likely to remain same. A 5-speed manual gearbox will continue to come as standard on the model lineup.
