Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has rolled out the BS6-compliant Unicorn motorcycle at a starting price of Rs 93,593 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The motorcycle has received noticeable cosmetic changes along with a few mechanical tweaks. The company is also offering a special 6 year warranty package that includes 3 years standard + 3 years optional extended warranty. Powering the 2020 Honda Unicorn is the BS6-compliant 149.2cc, 4 stroke, SI engine paired to a 5-speed gearbox with multi plate wet clutch. This air-cooled motor is now boosted with PGM-FI HET (Honda Eco Technology) that’s claimed to improve its performance and efficiency. The updated engine also has counter weight balancer that reduces vibrations and offers smooth acceleration from low to high rpm.

The updated Unicorn also gets low rolling resistance HET tubeless rear tyre that reduces energy loss while maintaining optimum grip. The ground clearance has been increased by 8mm and seat has been stretched by 24mm. The overall length, width and height remain unchanged – i.e. 2092mm, 756mm and 1100mm respectively. Featuring the new front cowl with chrome garnish, 3D wing mark and chrome stroke on side cover, the 2020 Honda Unicorn BS6 looks more refreshing than the old model. The taillamp design looks familiar. The commuter also comes with blue backlit meter console and engine stop switch.

The suspension duties are taken care of by the same telescopic front and monoshock rear unit. At the front and rear axle, the bike has 240mm disc and 130mm drum brakes respectively. The disc brake is further assisted by ABS (anti-lock braking system). The BS6 Unicorn rides on the same 80/100-18 front and 100/90-18 rear tubeless tyres.
