The 2020 Honda Jazz has been finally revealed, featuring advanced two-motor hybrid powertrain technology as standard. The new model is claimed to offer class-leading comfort and space, and will have “EV-like” driving dynamics and advanced technology and safety features. The next-gen Honda Jazz will be the first Honda in Europe to feature the new “e:HEV” powertrain badging.
The company has also introduced a new ‘Crosstar’ variant, which is designed to appeal customers looking a more crossover style design. Available with the same hybrid powertrain and interior features as the standard model, the new Crosstar features increased ride height, a unique front grille design, water-resistant upholstery and integrated roof rails.
The Honda Jazz 2020 comes with ultra-slim A-pillar design, which offers enhanced visibility. It comes with intuitive infotainment technology with seamless in-car connectivity and a WiFi hotspot. The new LCD touchscreen interface features swipe controls to browse recently used apps and media lists. The infotainment system is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The hybrid drivetrain components are packaged into the chassis and within the engine bay. In order to maximise cabin room, the fuel tank is positioned in the centre of the chassis beneath the front seats. This enables the Jazz to retain the versatile rear Magic Seats that offer both “fold-flat” or “flip-up” seat flexibility, depending on cargo space required.
The hatchback is fitted with a new wider, higher-definition camera, collision mitigation brake system, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, etc.
