The all-new Honda City was recently launched in Thailand. The sedan carline is spread across four variants – S, V, SV and RS – priced from 579,000 baht to 739,000 baht. Talking about the 2020 Honda City RS, the model looks sportier than the other three variants. It’s exclusively offered in Ignite Red colour scheme along with the Platinum White shade.

The 2020 Honda City RS also features a gloss black grille, newly-designed LED headlamps with LED DRLs, new fog lamps, black sport mirror with built-in turn signal lights, 16-inch alloys, new LED rear lights, gloss black rear spoiler and special RS badge.

The gloss black material on the front console further enhances its sporty look. The 2020 Honda City gets ‘Honda Connect’ car connection technology that works via a smartphone application.

Engine setup of the 2020 Honda City (Thai-spec) includes a new 1.0L turbocharged petrol and a 1.5L petrol unit with iMMD mild hybrid technology. The former is good enough for 120bhp and 173Nm of torque. The gasoline unit has been benefited with a BorgWarner single-scroll turbocharger, VTEC (variable valve timing and lift electronic control) and VTC (dual variable valve timing control). Details of the hybrid engine are yet to be announced. All variants of the 2020 Honda City come with a 7-speed CVT automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. The new turbocharged petrol engine returns a claimed fuel economy of 23.8kmpl.

At the safety front, the 2020 Honda City offers ABS (anti-lock braking system) with EBD (electronic brake-force distribution) and brake assist as standard fitments. It also comes with six airbags, vehicle stability control, multi-angle rearview camera and hill start assist.
