Hero MotoCorp has finally introduced the BSVI compliant version of the 2020 Hero XPulse dual-purpose motorcycle. Priced at Rs 1,11,790 (ex-showroom, New Delhi), the new Hero XPulse BS6 received a price hike of Rs 6,000.
Under The Hood?
Powering the 2020 Hero XPulse BS6 is the fuel-injected 199cc single-cylinder engine with oil-cooling system. The BSVI compliant engine is capable of producing 17.8bhp and 16.45Nm, which is marginally 0.3bhp and 0.65Nm lower than the BS4 version. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a 5-speed gearbox. The company has also updated the exhaust system, which now comes with an additional catalytic convertor. The exhaust tube and bash plate have been revised to accommodate the new component.
Hero XPulse BS6 Key Features
The new Hero XPulse BS6 visually remains the same. In fact, features and other technical aspects also remains the same. It continues to feature telescopic front forks with 190mm travel and a monoshock unit at the rear with 170mm wheel travel suspension setup. The motorcycle rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels. It features the single-channel ABS system as standard.
The dual-purpose motorcycle gets digital speedometer with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation system and LED headlamps and tail-lamps. The motorcycle gets engine sump guard, knuckle guards and high-mounted exhaust. It comes in 5 color options – Panther Black, White, Matte Grey, Sports Red and Matte Green. The motorcycle won’t have a direct competition in the Indian market.
Hero is yet to launch the BSVI compliant version of the XPulse 200T, which is basically the Tourer version of the motorcycle. This motorcycle also shares the engines specs and changes with the dual-purpose motorcycle. It will ride on 17-inch front and rear alloy wheels. The tourer version will offer under seat USB charger, ribbed seats and rear grip with bungee hooks.
