2020 Ford Endeavour BS6 Launched At Rs 29.55 Lakh; 14% More Mileage
The American carmaker has finally rolled out the 2020 Ford Endeavour BS6 at a starting price of Rs 29.55 lakh. The carmaker has confirmed that the prices are introductory and will be increased by Rs 70,000 from 1st May, 2020. Now, the SUV comes in three variants – Titanium 4X2 AT, Titanium+ 4X2 AT and Titanium+ 4X4 AT – priced at Rs 29.55 lakh, Rs 31.55 lakh and Rs 33.25 lakh respectively. The 2020 Ford Endeavour BS6 comes with a new 2.0L EcoBlue diesel engine that’s claimed to deliver “an unrivalled package of fuel efficiency, performance and refinement”. The new oil burner pushes out a peak power of 170PS and a peak torque of 420Nm.
With 4X2 drivetrain system, the updated model returns a class-leading mileage of 13.90kmpl. The 4X4 trim promises fuel economy of 12.4kmpl, which is around 14% higher than before. Compared to the old 2.2L TDCi diesel motor, the new EcoBlue is claimed to offer 20% better low-end torque. It’s more refined and quieter than its replacement. The updated Endeavour also comes with a 10-speed automatic gearbox that “delivers responsive, faster and facilitates smoother acceleration in all driving conditions”. The SUV is also equipped with FordPass connectivity solution that provide access to multiple operations such as locking and unlocking the vehicle, starting and stopping the vehicle, locating the car, know remain fuel levels and distance to empty.
The BS6 Ford Endeavour offers first-in-segment Terrain Management system with four modes – Normal, Snow, Mud, Grass and Sand and Rock. Visually, the 2020 Ford Endeavour appears slightly refreshing. It features all LED headlamps with newly-designed square design lamp cluster, which are claimed to provide up to 20% greater lighting. The SUV comes in a choice of three colour schemes – Sunset Red, Diffused Silver and Diamond White.
