Yamaha Motor India has introduced the 2019 Yamaha MT 15 sport-naked motorcycle in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 1.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the MT-15 is essentially a naked streetfighter version of the popular R15 V3.0 that made its debut at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. The motorcycle’s design is inspired by the bigger Yamaha MT-09, though the platform is being shared with the R15.

Besides sharing the platform, the 2019 Yamaha MT 15 borrows the 155cc, liquid-cooled engine from its fully-faired sibling. Compared to the global version, the India-spec model misses out on some premium features including upside down front forks. The new 2019 Yamaha MT 15 gets the conventional telescopic forks, single channel ABS along with dual disc brakes.
