Japanese automaker, Toyota has unveiled the new generation 2019 Toyota RAV4 SUV at the 2018 New York International Auto Show. This is one of the best-selling models from the Japanese carmaker in the US market. With all-new design, new cabin and efficient powertrains, Toyota aims to further improve the RAV4 sales. Toyota had sold over 400,000 units of the RAV4 last year with a growth of 15% in the US market.

The new generation Toyota RAV4 is based on the company’s ‘Toyota New Global Architecture’ a.k.a. TNGA platform, which also underpins the new Camry, Prius, C-HR, and the Corolla hatchback. The RAV4 SUV has a slightly longer wheelbase, which translates into spacious cabin. It is slightly shorter and wider than the previous model. The 2019 Toyota RAV4 also comes with a refreshed cabin, featuring new dashboard. It also gets a new 7-inch/8-inch floating infotainment system that also has Toyota’s Entune 3.0 audio system, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa and navigation. Other features will include new upholstery, new USB ports, wireless phone chargers and an optional 800-watt JBL sound system. Powering the 2019 Toyota RAV4 is a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, which is available in standard as well as hybrid version.
