New 2019 Toyota Innova Crysta facelift will receive BS6 compliant petrol & diesel engines.

We informed you earlier that Toyota will give a mid-life facelift to its popular 7-seater SUV – Fortuner in 2019. Not Just Fortuner, Toyota will also launch the updated Innova Crysta in India as well as other ASEAN markets. Though the testing of the 2019 Toyota Innova Crysta is yet to begin, media reports claim that the MPV will go on sale in Indonesia sometime next year. In India, the Innova facelift could be launched in the end of 2019 or early 2020.

The 2019 Toyota Innova is likely to receive subtle design upgrades and better equipped cabin. The India-spec model is most likely to receive BS6 compliant petrol & diesel engines. Besides new Innova & Fortuner, Toyota will launch the re-badged Baleno and Vitara Brezza in India in 2019. While the Toyota’s premium hatch will go on sale in first half of 2019, the Vitara Brezza based SUV is expected to arrive during Diwali next year.

2019 Toyota Innova Crysta Launch Date

Toyota is yet to announce the launch of new Innova Crysta. However, Indonesian media claims that the Crysta will get a mid-life facelift sometime next year. In India, the facelifted model will receive BS6 compliant engines and is expected to arrive in late 2019 or early 2020. We will update you on this as soon as Toyota announces anything on the same.

2019 Toyota Innova Crysta Price

The current Innova is available in the price range of Rs 14.63 lakh – Rs 23.04 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). With BS6 compliant engines and more features, the Innova facelift is expected to receive a slight bump in prices. We believe that the new model could cost between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 25 lakh. 2019 Toyota Innova Crysta Specifications

Mechanically, the Crysta facelift will remain unchanged. However, the engines will be tweaked to meet the upcoming BS6 emission norms. Similar to the existing model, the facelift will be available in three engine options including one petrol and two diesel units. Diesel powered Innova will come with a 2.4-litre GD VNT inter-cooler and a 2.8-litre GD oil burner. While the former is good for 146.9bhp of power and 343Nm torque, the 2.8-litre unit puts out maximum power of 174.5bhp with 360Nm torque. The petrol version will be powered by a 2.7-litre four-cylinder DOHC dual VVT-i petrol engine producing 166bhp and 245Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.

2019 Toyota Innova Crysta Mileage

The facelift will retain the same engine specifications, which means the mileage figure is unlikely to change as well. The diesel model is claimed to return around 15kmpl.

2019 Toyota Innova Crysta Dimensions

The Innova Crysta facelift is not likely to see major changes in terms of proportions. In terms of dimensions, the current model measures 4,735mm in length, 1,830mm in width and 1,795mm in height. It sits on a 2,750mm long wheelbase and equips 215/55 R17 sized tyres at front and rear. The ground clearance is around 190mm, which makes it compatible with the Indian roads.

The updated Innova will receive cosmetic upgrades to exterior and interior. It is likely to get newly designed front and rear faces. Going by the renderings, the new model could receive aggressive front with edgier bumper design. It will get a revised headlamp unit with LEDs as standard across the range. On sides, the MPV could receive newly designed alloys. The rear too expected to receive edgier design for the bumper.

Inside the cabin, the Toyota Innova Crysta facelift is likely to receive several high-end features. Like the current Crysta MPV, the new model will continue to offer excellent comfort. The company could add more features to further enhance the comfort quotient of this MPV. The company is also expected to make changes on the basis of customer basis.
