Suzuki Two-Wheelers seems aggressive with its product strategy for the highly competitive Indian market. The company has recently launched the Burgman lifestyle premium scooter. We informed you earlier that Suzuki will launch a 250cc motorcycle next year, which is likely to be called the Suzuki Gixxer 250. If media reports are to be believed, Suzuki is also preparing a major upgrade for its one of the best-selling motorcycle – Gixxer.
Suzuki Gixxer is one of the finest motorcycles in its category; however, the increasing competition has started impacting its sales. In fact, the motorcycle lost its top-spot to the recently launched TVS Apache RTR 160 4V. Next year, the Gixxer will be 5 year old in the Indian market and will require a much-needed makeover to remain stable in the market.

The current Gixxer offers stiff ride quality. It is expected that the Japanese two-wheeler maker will take care of this issue without compromising on its brilliant riding dynamics. The vehicle will continue with the existing chassis and brakes. On the engine front, the updates are likely to be limited to the refinement or slight increase in power. With all the updates, the 2019 Suzuki Gixxer will get slightly expensive over the existing model, which is priced at Rs 87,250 (ABS variant).
