Suzuki Motorcycles India has rolled out the 2019 model year of its highly-popular Gixxer 155 commuter in the country. Available in two variants – Standard and SP, the 2019 Suzuki Gixxer 155 facelift is priced at Rs 1,00,212 and Rs 88,941 respectively (all, ex-showroom Delhi). The 2019 Suzuki Gixxer 155 sources its power from the same 155 cc SOHC, air-cooled engine that has fuel injection technology instead the carburettor. With this update, the bike delivers better throttle response and reduces carbon emissions. The powertrain also gets 6 sensors – Oxygen sensor, Engine temperature sensor, Intake air temperature sensor, Intake air pressure sensor, Throttle position sensor and Crankshaft sensor. Its power and torque outputs stand at 14.8PS and 14Nm respectively.

Design changes include a new LED headlamp, fuel tank with new extensions, exhaust muffler with a new chrome tip, split seats, new trapezoidal theme and a new LCD instrumentation. The bike’s facelifted version gets a rear disc brake as standard. While the kerb weigh t of the motorcycle increased to 140kg, the seat height has been trimmed down to 795mm. Similar to the old model, the 2019 Suzuki Gixxer 155 uses telescopic up front) and monoshock rear suspension for performing damping duties.
