2019 Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500X ABS Launched At Rs 2.13 Lakh

Due to ABS, the Thunderbird 500X now become the most expensive single-cylinder model from Royal Enfield in India.

After launching the Continental GT 650 and Interceptor INT 650, Royal Enfield has now launched the 2019 Thunderbird 500X with ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) in India. The 2019 Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500X ABS is now priced at Rs 2.13 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is basically the factory-custom bike based on the standard Thunderbird.

The bike comes with more appealing design, featuring more muscular fuel tank, flat handlebar, alloy wheels and single-seat. Due to ABS, the Thunderbird 500X now become the most expensive single-cylinder model from Royal Enfield in India. Besides addition of the ABS system, the RE Thunderbird 500X remains identical to the non-ABS model.

It is powered by a 499cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled fuel-injected engine that is capable of producing 27bhp of power and 41Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a 5-speed gearbox. Suspension mechanism of the bike comprises of telescopic forks at the front and twin-shock absorbers at the rear. Royal Enfield has already introduced the ABS system in the Classic 350 Signals Edition, Classic 500 and the Himalayan. Last month, the company had launched the Thunderbird 350X with ABS system. For people not in the know, ABS system will be mandatory on bikes with 150cc and above engine. On the other hands, two-wheelers below 125cc will have to receive a Combi braking system as standard.
