2019 Renault Duster facelift

The 2019 Renault Duster facelift is reportedly to be launched in the first week of July 2019.

Renault is gearing up for the launch of the much-awaited Triber crossover-MPV in India. A new media report claims that the 2019 Renault Duster facelift will be launched in India in the first week of July 2019. Adding to it, the facelifted SUV is reportedly to be priced similar to that of the pre-facelift/current version.

The 2019 Renault Duster facelift will receive cosmetic changes inside out, but the mechanics will remain unchanged. The SUV has already been spotted during a TVC shoot in the Himalayas and the spy images reveal everything about the changes in the facelifted model. In terms of design changes, the 2019 Duster facelift will receive a new grille with heavy chrome treatment, revised bumper with new fog lamp housings, newly designed tail-lights and new alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, the 2019 Renault Duster gets new seat fabric and interior trims. The cabin quality is also expected to be improved with use of soft touch plastic.

The outgoing Renault Duster is priced in the range of Rs 8 lakh – Rs 13.14 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelifted model will retain the existing price tag. The 2019 Duster facelift will be available with the 2 engine options – a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol and a 1.5-litre K9K turbocharged diesel. The naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 106bhp of power and 140Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic. Also See – Renault Kwid facelift – Details

The diesel engine offers two states of tune – 85bhp/200Nm and 108bhp/240Nm. It is expected that Renault will only introduce the more powerful version of this engine. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and an AMT unit. The Duster is also the only SUV in its category to offer all-wheel-drive option. It also gets additional safety features and independent rear suspension. The Renault Duster facelift will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks and the upcoming Kia Seltos.
