2019 Maruti Suzuki Ignis To Get Roof Rails & More Safety Features

Maruti Suzuki Ignis, the premium urban compact car from the Indo-Japanese carmaker, will soon receive its first update. While the official launch date of the hatchback is yet to be confirmed, a report claims that it might go on sale on 25th February, 2019. Delivers are likely to begin next week.

Ahead of its official launch, the 2019 Maruti Ignis has started reaching Nexa dealerships and its pre-bookings have been commenced across the nation. The report further claims that the new Maruti Ignis 2019 facelift will receive roof rails for the first time. Though, it could be reserved for the Alpha and Zeta variants. The new Maruti Ignis 2019 facelift will also get a Smartplay Studio infotainment system as we have seen on the new Baleno facelift. The dashboard might also be revised. The hatchback will also get new fabric seat upholstery. The carmaker might also introduce a new colour scheme on the 2019 model year of the hatchback.

The entry-level Sigma trim will receive reverse parking sensors and seatbelt reminder along with the existing safety fitments. Features such as dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, seat belt pre-tensioners with force limiters will be made standard across the carline. The new Maruti Ignis 2019 facelift will continue to use the existing 1.2L K-Series petrol engine generating a peak power of 82bhp with 113Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox will be standard, while an AMT unit will come as an optional offering.
