2019 Maruti Ertiga CNG Launched; Priced at Rs 8.88 Lakh
The 2019 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV now available with the factory-fitted CNG kit. The company has launched the Ertiga CNG and the Ertiga Tour M CNG models. The MPV is now available in 1.5-litre petrol, 1.3-litre diesel, 1.5-litre diesel and the factory-fitted CNG. The CNG kit is offered on the VXi trim of the standard Ertiga. While the Maruti Ertiga CNG is available at a price tag of Rs 8.88 lakh, the Tour M CNG variant is priced at Rs 8.83 lakh. The CNG version of the Ertiga VXi trim is around Rs 71,000 more than the regular petrol engine variant.
The new CNG versions of the Ertiga offers an ARAI certified fuel economy of 26.20 km/kg. The new models are available with a 60-litre fuel tank. The CNG kit of the new models are claimed to be equipped with the Intelligent Injection System along with the dual interdependent ECUs. The Maruti Ertiga CNG is fitted with Auto-Fuel Switch that provides easy and seamless switching between CNG and petrol fuel modes. Also See – Maruti S-Presso launch and other details
The Maruti Ertiga CNG is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that is capable of producing a maximum power of 103.26bhp and a peak torque of 138Nm. However, the CNG version offers a reduced power output of 91bhp and a peak torque of 122Nm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Apart from the new Ertiga CNG, Maruti Suzuki is now readying an all-new Crossover based on the Ertiga. Called the Maruti XL6, the new model will be a six-seater crossover. The new model will be retailed through the NEXA premium sales and service network. It will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired to either 5-speed manual or 4-speed torque convertor automatic.
