2019 Maruti Baleno RS

The 2019 Maruti Baleno RS is expected to be launched in February 2019.

Maruti Suzuki has recently launched the new-gen Wagon R and the Baleno facelift. Now, the company is gearing up for the launch of the updated version of the performance oriented Baleno RS hatchback. In fact, the company has released an image of the upcoming facelift Baleno RS on its NEXA Experience website.

Similar to the refreshed Baleno, the 2019 Maruti Baleno RS comes with a revised front fascia. It features a new bumper, new fog lamp housings and a larger airdam. The vehicle also receives newly designed alloy wheels. The company hasn’t released the interior images of the RS facelift, but it is likely to get a new interior colour scheme. It will also get Maruti Suzuki’s new SmartPlay infotainment system that debuted in the new Wagon R. Also See – 2019 Maruti Baleno price and all details

This infotainment system is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and Voice recognition. The Baleno RS will also get SmartPlay Studio app for the navigation and traffic updates. The mechanics of the 2019 Maruti Baleno RS will remain the same. It will be powered by the same tried & tested 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that is capable of producing 100.5bhp of power and 150Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox driving the power to the front wheels will come as standard.

Similar to the current model, the 2019 Maruti Baleno RS will be available in single fully-loaded variant and will be sold through NEXA premium dealerships. The performance oriented model is reportedly to be priced at Rs 8.76 lakh, which makes it Rs 29,000 expensive over the outgoing model. It will challenge the likes of Volkswagen Polo GT TSI and the Tata Tiago JTP.
