2019 Maruti Baleno Facelift Clear Image Surfaced Online
The 2019 Maruti Baleno will receive cosmetic changes to exterior and feature upgrades to interior
We informed you earlier that Maruti Suzuki is all set to give a mid-life facelift to its popular premium hatchback Baleno. The hatchback is expected to be launched in January or February 2019. Ahead of the launch, a clear image of the 2019 Maruti Baleno has surfaced online. The new image reveals the design changes to be on offer.
First launched in 2015, the Maruti Baleno has been the best-selling model in its category. With subtle changes, Maruti aims to maintain the sales momentum in the competitive Indian market. In terms of styling, the 2019 Maruti Baleno gets new chrome upper grille accent, re-profiled bumper, revised lower air-intake and re-positioned vertical fog lamp housing. The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is not likely to receive significant changes inside the cabin. It is expected to get new fabric design and colour-coding. The company could offer cruise control as optional in the top-spec model. It is likely to receive an upgraded version of the SmartPlay infotainment system, which will be compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The hatchback will receive dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, speed alert system, seat belt reminder and central locking as standard safety features. The 2019 Maruti Baleno is most likely to retain the existing set of engines – 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel. While the former is good for 83bhp and 115Nm of torque, the oil burner produces 74bhp and 190Nm of torque. The diesel engine will continue to be on offer till March 2020, as Fiat has no plans to upgrade this engine to meet the upcoming BSVI emission norms.
