Maruti Suzuki has recently launched the 2019 Alto hatchback with several changes outside as well as inside. Adding to it, the hatchback also gets mechanical changes. The new model is now available in 3 variants – STD, LXI and VXI – priced at Rs 2.93 lakh, Rs 3.50 lakh and Rs 3.71 lakh respectively. Design

The 2019 Maruti Alto receives cosmetic design upgrades in the front. It gets a newly developed larger grille, revised front and rear bumpers, and new 12-inch wheels with revised wheel caps. The car misses out on 800 badge, but it features the Alto badge.

New Music system & Interior upgrades

The interior of the new Maruti Alto now has a dual-tone scheme with revised dashboard design. AC ducts, instrument console and other elements are sourced from the Alto K10. It also gets a new infotainment system, which Maruti called Smart Play Dock. With the help of this system, user can dock their smartphone for easier access to calls, music, navigation and others.

BS6 Engine

The new Maruti Alto is the country’s first entry-level model to come with a BSVI compliant engine. This new engine is claimed to reduce about 25% Nitrogen Oxides in emission. The company has upgraded the engine hardware and software to make the engine BS6 compliant. It is the same 796cc engine that produces 47bhp and 69Nm of torque. Safer than before

The updated Maruti Suzuki Alto comes equipped with ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brake-Force Distribution), driver side airbag, reverse parking camera, speed alert system and seat-belt reminders for both driver and co-driver. Keyless Entry

It seems like Maruti Suzuki has asked its customers for the feedback. The company has added the important keyless entry function, which was missing in the previous model.
