2019 Mahindra TUV300 facelift reaches dealership as launch nears
The new Mahindra TUV300 is likely to come in a single 100bhp, 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder diesel engine paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox
Mahindra is gearing up for the launch of the updated TUV300 in the Indian market. The company has started dispatching the refreshed model to its dealerships. The Mahindra TUV300 facelift has been spotted at one of the dealership stockyards. First launched in 2015, the TUV300 is already 3 years old in our market.
According to the AutoCarIndia, the new TUV300 is likely to come in a single 100bhp, 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder diesel engine paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 80bhp version of the model won’t be on sale at the time of the launch. Adding to it, the SUV will miss out on the Ricardo-sourced AMT gearbox and will only available in manual option.
The Mahindra TUV300 facelift is expected to be made available in 5 variants – T4+, T6+, T8, T10 and a new top-spec variant – T10 (O). The updated model will receive styling changes like revised front grille and bumper and smoked headlamps. The side profile remains largely unchanged, except for the new set of alloys. At the back, the 2019 Mahindra TUV300 gets clear tail-lamps and new rear spoiler. The cabin is also expected to receive some minor upgrades.
The 2019 Mahindra TUV300 will be compatible with the upcoming crash-test norms that come into effect in August this year. The SUV will receive mandatory safety features as standard, which includes driver side airbag, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, seat-belt alert and speed alert.
The homegrown UV maker is also working on the next-generation Thar and Bolero. Both these models are likely to be based on the GEN3 platform, which also underpins the TUV300 and the current-gen Scorpio. Adding to it, Mahindra will also launch the next-generation XUV500 and the Scorpio in 2020.
