Mahindra Two Wheelers has updated the Gusto scooter with Combined Braking System (CBS) in the country. The model was temporarily discontinued as they didn’t comply with the new safety norms that mandate CBS on below 125cc two-wheelers. The new safety standards came into effect from 1st April, 2019.
Coming to the prices, the 2019 Mahindra Gusto 110 is available in three variants – DX, VX and VX 125 – cost Rs 50,996, Rs 55,660 and Rs 58,137 respectively. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. With the safety update, both scooters get costlier by over Rs 2,000.
No other changes have been made to the scooter. Powering the 2019 Mahindra Gusto 110 is the same 109cc, air-cooled engine that’s good enough for 8bhp at 7,000rpm and 9Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. The Gusto VX 125 uses a 124.6cc, air-cooled motor generating a maximum power of 8.5bhp at 7,000rpm and 10Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. Both powertrains come with a CVT gearbox.
Some of its key features include follow-me-home headlamp, buttons for turn indicators, height adjustable seat, remote flip key fob with an LED torch and 10-inch tyres. The scooter gets telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock suspension.
The Mahindra Gusto comes in a choice of multiple shades, namely, Volcanic Red, Iceberg White, Magnetic Magenta, Galactic Black, Asphalt Black, Raven Black, Arctic White and Organza Silver. One must note that the colour schemes vary variant wise.
