The Hyundai i30 N Line takes styling cues from the hotter variant – i30 N, but it comes with engines from the regular five-door hatchback.

Korean autogiant, Hyundai has unveiled the new i30 N Line variant for the European markets. This model takes styling cues from the hotter variant – i30 N, but it comes with engines from the regular five-door hatchback. However, Hyundai claims that the mechanical set-up, including suspension, brakes, and engine response have also been tuned to add extra oomph to the regular i30 five-door model.

The new Hyundai i30 N Line variant rides on 18-inch wheels and equipped with sportier front and rear bumpers with a sliver paint line. At the back, the premium hatch gets a dual exhaust tip arrangement that resembles the sportier i30 N. There is an “N Line” badging on the front fenders, while the cabin has N-badged sport seats with improved lateral support. Other changes inside the cabin include metal pedals, sport steering wheel wrapped in perforated leather and a new gear shift knob with N badge.

Not just cosmetic upgrades, Hyundai has also improved the engine response and tweaks the suspension to make the N Line version a bit sharper. The Hyundai i30 N Line is available in two engine options – 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol and a 1.6-litre turbocharged diesel. While the former is capable of producing 138bhp of power and 242Nm of torque, the oil burner is good for 134bhp and 280Nm of torque (300Nm with dual-clutch AT). The hotter i30 N is offers a massive 271bhp of power and 352Nm of torque.
