The new Hyundai Grand i10 is scheduled to be unveiled in the second half of 2019

Hyundai is gearing up for the launch of the much-awaited Venue sub-4 meter SUV in the country. Scheduled to make global debut on April 17, 2019, the new Hyundai Venue will take on the likes of Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and Maruti Vitara Brezza. Besides Venue, Hyundai will also launch the new-gen Grand i10 hatchback. The new model is expected to be launched in the country in the second half of 2019, most probably around Diwali. The new model is built on the new Santro’s platform that also underpins the Venue compact SUV.

The new generation Hyundai Grand i10 has been spotted testing multiple times on Indian roads. The spy images reveal that the new model is grown in size, which could work well against the competition that includes new Maruti Swift and Ford Figo. This time, the interior of the Grand i10 has been revealed in a latest set of spy images. The interior seems more spacious than the current car, which is done by making the dashboard more space-efficient. The seats have been revised and now feature adjustable headrests.

The dashboard design is largely identical to the previous model, though there are subtle changes. It comes with new centre console with a large free-standing touchscreen infotainment and new space to keep phone and other things. It features twin-dials in the instrument panel, an info display at the centre, centrally located power window buttons and new gear lever sourced from the Santro.

The top-spec model is likely to get a wider 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a different instrument console. This variant will also receive electronic climate control, rear air-conditioning vents and others. It is expected that the new-gen Grand i10 will go petrol only. The hatchback could get a 1.2-litre BSVI compliant petrol engine paired to either a manual or an AMT unit. Also See – Hyundai to launch a micro SUV below Venue in India
