The Hyundai Elantra facelift will challenge the likes of new Honda Civic, Skoda Octavia and the Toyota Corolla Altis.

Korean automaker, Hyundai has unveiled the ASEAN-spec Elantra facelift in Malaysia. The new model looks largely identical to the updated Elantra left-hand-drive model, though there are minor cosmetic changes to the styling. It also gets new alloy wheels and chrome enhancement. In fact, the cabin of the ASEAN-spec Elantra facelift is very similar to the left-hand-drive model.

The ASEAN-spec model now gets a manual air-conditioning unit in place of an automatic climate control. However, this is very minor change and depends on the market in which it will be launched. Feature-list include automatic projector headlamps, leather upholstery for seats, steering and gearbox, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The India-spec model will carry the current engine options – a 2.0-litre petrol and a 1.6-litre diesel. It is expected that the Elantra facelift for India will receive the 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system instead of the 7-inch unit. Other features are likely to include multi-zone climate control, six airbags, ventilated seats and many more. The Hyundai Elantra facelift will challenge the likes of new Honda Civic, Skoda Octavia and the Toyota Corolla Altis.
