Interested buyers can pre-book the new Honda Civic by paying a token amount of Rs 31,000.

Honda Cars India has officially started taking pre-bookings for its much-awaited all-new Civic sedan. Interested buyers can pre-book this sedan at a token amount of Rs 31,000, while pan India deliveries will be commenced from 7th March, 2019. The 2019 Honda Civic is scheduled to be launched on March 7, 2019. This is the facelift version of the 10th generation Civic sedan and was debuted last year in India.

Talking about the Honda Civic, Mr. Rajesh Goel, Sr Vice President & Director, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd. said, “Civic is an iconic brand with a rich legacy of 10 generations and is currently our largest selling model globally. We are extremely excited to bring the latest 10th Generation All New Civic to the Indian market.”

Civic is Honda’s longest-running automotive nameplate with cumulative sales of 25 million units worldwide. The sedan is currently on sale in 170 countries worldwide. Honda had discontinued the 8th generation Civic sedan from India, owing to its low sales and lack of diesel option. The company didn’t launch the 9th gen Civic in India. The 2019 Honda Civic sedan will be available in petrol and diesel powertrains. The gasoline version will get the tried & tested 1.8-litre i-VTEC naturally aspirated unit that produces 139bhp of power and 173Nm of torque. For the first time in India, the Civic nameplate will be offered with a diesel powertrain. It will get the new 1.6-litre i-DTEC unit that produces 118bhp of power and 300Nm of torque. The new Honda Civic is claimed to be the most fuel efficient car in its category. With diesel mileage rated at 26.8kmpl, the new Civic is more fuel efficient than the lighter Honda City. The sedan will directly challenge the likes of Hyundai Elantra, Toyota Corolla Altis and Skoda Octavia.
