Japanese automaker, Honda has revealed the 2019 BR-V facelift at the 2019 Indonesia International Motor Show. The 2019 Honda BR-V receives cosmetic changes inside out. The BR-V SUV was first launched in 2015 in Indonesia and is currently on sale in select South ASEAN markets.
In terms of styling upgrades, the 2019 Honda BR-V gets all-new front bumper, revised fog lamp housings and an updated faux skid plate. Chrome treatment along with a faux brushed aluminum finish can be seen on the bumper. The design of the grille remains the same, and offers the Honda’s familiar look. In addition, the 2019 Honda BR-V gets daytime running lights and revised headlight inserts. The side profile of the SUV looks largely identical to the existing model, except for the revised cladding, and new 16-inch diamond-cut alloys. The rear design too remains similar to the existing model, except for the revised bumper design. The vehicle gets wraparound tail-lamps with a light strip that merges the tail-lights to form a single unit. The 2019 Honda BR-V facelift comes with dark grey interior scheme. The top-spec model also gets red stitching on the seats and a centre armrest. It also gets a touchscreen infotainment system, which is likely to be compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The 2019 Honda BR-V facelift for the Indonesian market is available with a single 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine. This engine is capable of producing 118bhp of power and 145Nm of torque. The India-spec model is currently available in two engine options – a 118bhp, 1.5L i-VTEC petrol and a 99bhp, 1.5L i-DTEC diesel. The updated Honda BR-V is not likely to arrive in India in the near future. However, Honda has confirmed that all its diesel models will be upgraded to meet the upcoming BSVI emission norms.
