2019 Ford Figo Vs Maruti Suzuki Swift – Price Comparison
2019 Ford Figo facelift is more powerful and affordable than the Maruti Suzuki Swift.
Ford Figo, the popular hatchback from the American carmaker, recently received a mid-cycle update in India. Unlike the previous model, the new Ford Figo 2019 facelift comes in three trims – Ambiente, Titanium and Titanium Blu – priced between Rs 5.15 lakh – Rs 8.09 lakh (all, ex-showroom Delhi). This makes the new model more affordable than its pre-facelift version. In fact, the new Figo becomes less expensive than its arch rival – Maruti Suzuki Swift.
While the fully loaded 1.5L Titanium Blu trim of the new Ford Figo 2019 facelift costs Rs 6.94 lakh (petrol) – Rs 7.74 lakh (diesel), the range-topping Swift petrol is available at Rs 7.40 lakh and the diesel is priced at Rs 8.37 lakh. That means, the new Figo makes a better deal with some additional features including 6 airbags, leather wrapped steering wheel, automatic headlamps and wipers, automatic day/night inside RVM, contrast roof, black grille and wing mirrors. The new Figo’s Titanium petrol (1.2L) and diesel (1.5) variants are priced at Rs 6.39 lakh and Rs 7.19 lakh, thus making them Rs 19,000 and Rs 38,000 less expensive than the Swift’s 1.2L ZXi petrol and ZDi diesel that cost Rs 6.58 lakh and Rs 7.57 lakh respectively.
However, the 2019 Ford Figo Titanium trim automatic variant is around Rs 4,000 pricier than the Swift 1.2L AMT model. Similarly, there is a marginal difference (around Rs 16,000) between the Figo’s entry-level Ambiente petrol trim and Swift’s LXi petrol variant. The new Ford Figo 1.5 Ambiente diesel has been priced at Rs 5.95 lakh and Swift 1.3 LDi diesel variant that costs Rs 5.99 lakh. This makes the new Figo Rs 4,000 more affordable than its rival. Besides the decent price gap, the new Ford Figo 2019 facelift comes with 5 year warranty and savings up to Rs 60,000.
