2019 Ford Figo Facelift with Powerful Engine Launching in March
The Ford Figo facelift will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 96PS of power and 120Nm of torque
After launching the new Endeavour, Ford is now gearing up for the launch of the Figo facelift. The company hasn’t revealed the exact launch date, but it is confirmed that the Figo facelift will go on sale in March 2019. The hatchback will come with cosmetic upgrades to design and interior along with few mechanical changes.
The Ford Figo facelift will be powered by all-new 1.2-litre Dragon Series engine, which currently powers the Freestyle and the new Aspire. This 3-cylinder petrol engine offers the segment-best power and torque, rated at 96PS and 120Nm respectively. Power will be transmitted to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox. Similar to the Freestyle, the Ford Figo facelift will offer exciting performance and driveability.
The diesel version will be powered by the tried & tested 1.5-litre TDCI unit that is capable of producing 99bhp of power and 215Nm of torque. The performance variant of the Figo will receive the new 1.5-litre 3-cylinder dragon engine that powers the EcoSport and Aspire. Paired to a six-speed automatic gearbox, this powertrain is capable of producing 121bhp and 150Nm of torque.
The 2019 Ford Figo will share the interior details with the Aspire facelift, which was launched in late 2018. The company could opt for all-black interior scheme for the top-spec model, though the black and beige option could be available with most of the variants. It will receive the new SYNC3 infotainment system, which is currently available in the Aspire sedan.
In terms of styling changes, the Ford Figo facelift will come with slightly revised honeycomb grille and new bumpers. The vehicle could receive newly designed alloys, new wraparound headlamps and tail-lights.
