2019 BMW R 1250 GS Launched In India; Prices Start At Rs 16.85 Lakh

BMW Motorrad has introduced the new 2019 R 1250 GS motorcycle range in the Indian market. The 2019 BMW R 1250 GS bike range is being offered in four variants – R 1250 GS Standard, R 1250 GS Pro, R 1250 GS Adventure Standard and R 1250 GS Aventure Pro – priced at Rs 16.85 lakh, Rs 20.05 lakh, Rs 18.25 lakh and Rs 21.95 lakh respectively. Booking for the new BMW bikes have been commenced across the nation. One can book the new R 1250 GS motorcycle by paying a sum of Rs 5 lakh. All these bikes are being brought to India as the CBU (Completely Built Up) units. The 2019 BMW R 1250 GS range receives new components and features along with a larger capacity engine. At the heart of the 2019 BMW R 1250 GS is a bigger 1,254cc, twin-cylinder Boxer engine that’s more powerful (9bhp) and torqueier (18Nm) than its replacement. Benefited with ShiftCam technology, this motor produces power worth 136bhp at 7750rpm and 143Nm of torque at 6250rpm. The combustion and refinement levels of the new motor are better than before.
Some of its key changes include a new LED headlamp, LED DRL (optional), a new 6.5-inch full-colour TFT display, a new camshaft and a revised exhaust manifold system. The list of standard features includes Hill Start Control, Automatic Stability Control (ASC) and two riding modes. BMW Motorrad is also offering Comfort, Touring and Dynamic Packages with the 2019 BMW R 1250 GS bikes. The Comfort package includes heated grips, a chrome-plated exhaust system and RDC tyre pressure control. The Touring kit consists of case holders on left and right sides, keyless ride, cruise control, centre stand, preparation for navigation unit and Dynamic ESA. Design and styling of the 2019 BMW R 1250 GS range looks similar to the previous models. Though, the motorcycles get lots of blacked out treatment on main frame, brake calipers and cross-spoke wheels. Other highlights include a 6.5-inch TFT display with smartphone and Bluetooth connectivity, updated slipper clutch, new injectors and jet cooling for the piston undersides and new unit construction gearbox.
