The 2018 Tata Nexon AMT will hit showrooms towards the end of this fiscal year.
Tata Motors’s all-new Nexon compact SUV has taken the industry by storm – thank to its unique styling, feature-laden cabin, highly efficient engines and of-course the aggressive pricing. Buoyed by the success of the Nexon, the home-grown carmaker will soon bring in its AMT (automated manual transmission) version in the market. The 2018 Tata Nexon AMT (Automatic) will take on the recently-launched EcoSport facelift (Platine AT) and the upcoming Maruti Vitara Brezza AMT variant.
While the official launch of the Nexon AMT is a few months away, its engine details have been emerged on the web. In fact, the new model was captured on the camera in September 2017. Just so you know, the company recently added an AMT variant to its Tigor lineup.

Tata Nexon Review
Built on Tata’s new IMPACT design philosophy, the Nexon is one of the best-looking cars in its segment. No design and styling changes will be made to the AMT model. It will look exactly similar to the standard version. The car will continue to feature the projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, dual shade fog lamps with ceramic white strip, 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and LED tail lamp.
The Nexon XZA AMT will be offered in a new exterior paint job – Mari Gold. It will also be available in regular five colours – Moroccan Blue, , Glasgow Grey, Seattle Silver, Vermont Red and Calgary White. The XZ+ trim is available in dual-tone shade with a gloss black finished roof. Proportionally, too, the car will remain unchanged. It will measure 3,995mm in length, 1,730mm in width and 1,600mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,470mm. This compact SUV comes with a ground clearance of 200mm, which is more than sufficient to tackle Indian road conditions.
Since the Nexon AMT will be based on the XZA trim, it will be loaded with all comfort and safety features. It will come with a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is compatible to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The car also gets an 8-speaker Harman-sourced audio system, automatic climate control, multi-functional steering wheels, rear AC vents, standard dual airbags and ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic BrakeForce Distribution).
