Japanese automaker, Suzuki had unveiled the 2018 Ertiga MPV at the 2018 Indonesian auto show. Now, the company is set to unveil the 2018 Suzuki Sport Ertiga concept at the GIIAS 2018, which will start tomorrow in Indonesia. This is basically the standard Ertiga with a body kit.
The Suzuki Sport Ertiga concept is based on the 2018 Ertiga MPV, which is already on sale in the Indonesian market. The new model will officially go on sale in India during festive season, Diwali. No details about the vehicle have been revealed, but it is not expected to come with any performance improvement. It is basically a show car, which is not likely to enter production anytime sooner. Going by the picture, it is visible that the model gets sportier body kit and has reduced ground clearance for sportier stance. The regular model comes with a ground clearance of 180mm. In terms of styling, the Suzuki Sport Ertiga concept gets a blacked-out grille, smoked headlamps and a stylish aero kit comprising underbody spoilers and a roof spoiler. It rides on newly designed alloy wheels, which seems 16-inchers. The roof spoiler is expected to be shared from the regular model.
Under the hood, the Suzuki Sport Ertiga concept will get the same K15B VVT petrol engine that also powers the 2018 Suzuki Ertiga. This 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine is capable of producing 104bhp of power at 6,000rpm and a peak torque of 138Nm at 4,400rpm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic unit.Besides this concept, Suzuki will unveil the Suzuki Sport Swift concept and the Suzuki Sport Ignis concept at the GIIAS 2018. Adding to it, the 2018 Suzuki Jimny will also make its way to Indonesia at the auto event itself.
