Nissan has silently introduced the updated version of the Micra and Micra Active hatchbacks in the Indian market. Prices of the new Nissan Micra 2018 start from Rs 6.19 lakh (for the XL CVT variant) and go all the way up to Rs 7.60 lakh (for the diesel XL Comfort variant). The 2018 Micra Active, on the other hand, is available in the price range of Rs 4.73 lakh – Rs 5.69 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. For the 2018 model year, the Nissan Micra gets dual airbags as standard across the carline. However, the entry-level trim still misses out on the ABS (antilock braking system). Besides this, the hatchback comes with a new 6.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Mirror link for navigation, reverse parking camera and rear parking sensors. 2018 Nissan Micra & Micra Active Pictures
Save for a new rear spoiler and ORVM integrated turn indicators, the new Nissan Micra 2018 looks exactly similar to the old model. Similar to the new Micra, the new Micra Active gets dual airbags as standard safety fitment. The ABS system is exclusively offered on the top-spec XV trim. No changes have been made under the hood. The new Nissan Micra 2018 uses the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. The former is good enough for 76bhp and 104Nm of torque, the latter delivers 63bhp and 160Nm of peak torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a CVT unit. Powering the new Nissan Micra Active 2018 is the same 1.2-litre petrol engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It generates power worth 67bhp against 104Nm of peak torque.
