The Italian luxury car marquee, Maserati has introduced the Quattroporte GTS in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 2.7 crore (ex-showroom), the 2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS is a four-door sports luxury sedan that had its global premiere at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The luxury sport saloon has been made available in two trims – GranLusso and GranSport – carrying distinctive features.
Official bookings for the 2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS have been commenced across the nation. The global and Indian deliveries will begin simultaneously. In India, Maserati’s luxury sport sedan will take on the Porsche Panamera and Aston Martin Rapide. Just so you know, the Quattroporte is the company’s iconic flagship model and the carmaker has delivered the saloon over 24,000 customers in 72 countries ever since its launch.

At the heart of the 2018 Maserati Quattroporte is a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine churning out power worth 522bhp between 6500-6800rpm and a peak torque of 710Nm between 2250rpm and 3500rpm. Feeding power to the rear wheels is an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox. This powertrain can do 0 to 100kmph in 4.7 seconds, while maintaining a top speed of 310kmph.
On the exterior, the 2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS gets revised front and rear bumper, new adaptive LED headlamps with glare free high beam assist and new front grille. Features such as chrome bumper inserts, front spoiler, body coloured side skirts, a new set of 20-inch Mercurio alloy wheels with black coloured brake callipers and GranLusso badges on the wings are exclusively offered on the GranLusso trim.
On the other hand, the 2018 GTS GranSport trim wears some sporty bits including aerodynamic splitters, the central front and side intakes with sculpted angles, side inserts in piano black and centre spoiler. Maserati is also offering an exterior carbon package with luxury sports sedan that includes carbon finished front bumper, door handles, ORVMs and B-pillar cover.
Interior has also been revised with new leather seat upholstery and an 8.4-inch Maserati Touch Control Plus (MTC+) unit integrated on the dashboard. The infotainment system supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay with phone mirroring option. While the 900 watt, 10 speaker Harman Kardon audio system comes as standard, the 1280 watt, 15 speaker Bowers & Wilkin Surround sound system is an optional offering. Safety duties on the 2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS are taken care of by six airbags, Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR), active headrests, Active Blind Spot Assist (ABSA), etc.
