The new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will come in a total of 10 variants – 4 petrol manuals, 2 petrol automatics & 4 diesel manuals

The much-awaited new-gen Maruti Ertiga will officially go on sale in India on November 21, 2018. Bookings for the MPV have already been started at Rs 11,000, while deliveries are being promised by the end of this month. Ahead of the launch, new details about the variants and features have been leaked on the web. The new Maruti Ertiga will be offered in a total of 10 variants – four petrol manuals (LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+), two petrol-automatics (VXi and ZXi) and four diesel-manuals (LDi, VDi, ZDi and ZDi+). The company will not introduce any optional model, as all variants will come with dual front airbags and ABS with EBD as standard.

The new Maruti Ertiga will be powered by a new 105bhp, 1.5-litre petrol engine, which will be paired to a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The new Maruti Ertiga features dual-battery setup, which we have already seen in the new Ciaz facelift. This dual-battery setup comprises of lead acid unit and lithium-ion unit, which runs the start-stop function and torque assist function respectively. This 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder engine is capable of producing 105bhp of power and 138Nm of torque. The oil burner is a 1.3-litre MJD diesel engine that produces 90bhp of power and 200Nm of torque. The new Maruti Ertiga is bigger in dimensions than the outgoing model. It is also more spacious, thanks to increased length and longer wheelbase. The outgoing model offers a boot space of 185-litres, while the new model will offer a luggage carrying capacity of 209-litres with all three rows up. The boot space can be extended up to 550-litres and 803-litres by folding third and second rows respectively.
